How OmaPicks treats visitors

OmaPicks has no accounts, comments, advertising, or marketing trackers. The published pages are static files. Your browser does not receive an analytics script, analytics cookie, or analytics storage from this site.

Theme preference

If you use the theme toggle, OmaPicks stores light or dark in your browser's localStorage so the choice can persist. That value is not sent to the server and is not used to measure traffic.

Traffic measurement

To understand how many people use the site and which category pages are popular, Cloudflare's edge records a small server-side event for successful HTML page views. The browser is not asked to run extra code for this.

Each event keeps only the UTC date, the page path such as /picks/network/, and a one-way identifier that is salted for that day. Raw IP addresses, user-agent strings, query strings, referrers, and device fingerprints are not stored. The daily identifier cannot follow a visitor across days or websites, so weekly or monthly visitor totals are estimates, not an exact headcount.

Measurement is skipped when a request sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, looks like an automated crawler, or is not a successful HTML page. Events are processed by Cloudflare and retained for three months.
